Start by numbering your pages (small and in a bottom corner) - it will make it easier in the end. Don't count the backs of the pages but use them when you're working.
Page 1: "This Book Belongs To: __________________" or "Ex Libris ______________" Then decorate.
Page 2: "Table of Contents" - Then decorate.
